On February 20-21, 1997 the NSCEE presented a short course on the Origin2000. The course was taught by SGI professional trainers Matt Clark and Steve Simonds. Both instruction have backgrounds in computer technical training.

Topics included:

• Compilers (FORTRAN and C)
• Software Development Tools
• Performance Analysis and Optimization Tools on the Origin2000
• Scientific and Mathematical Libraries
• NQS set up and usage
